A community-wide partnership to increase disability awareness, support meaningful inclusion and empower parents as advocates
Our Vision
-
Inclusive Programs
We aim to foster meaningful peer relationships between children with and without disabilities through inclusive experiences—think art, music, dance, cooking, and more!
-
Community Partnerships
Community partnerships are at the heart of our mission. They allow us to build a more connected, informed, and inclusive community—one where every child is seen, supported, and celebrated.
-
Parent Support
A community dedicated to supporting parents of children with disabilities. Monthly meetups will allow parents to share experiences, exchange resources, enhance coping skills and build supportive networks that contribute to both their well-being and that of their children. Each meeting will have a guest speaker, time for Q&A and conversation.

We're excited to welcome Amanda Zimmer to The Inclusion Collective Pittsburgh. Amanda will guide us on an exploration of neurodiversity-affirming strategies to support emotional regulation and behavior with the aim of increasing predictability, flexibility and success just in time for the back-to-school season.
Whether you’re navigating new environments, tough transitions, or just trying to get everyone out the door in the morning, you'll leave with affirming, actionable ideas for all of life's messy moments.
Amanda Zimmer is half of the sister duo at Complex Truths Collaborative and a passionate special education consultant. She partners with families, educators, and districts to create inclusive, supportive environments for students with neurodevelopmental disabilities, including autism. Her approach to emotional and behavioral support is compassionate, progressive, and rooted in real-world experience.
As a proud parent in a neurodiverse family with two amazing boys, Amanda brings both personal insight and over 20 years of professional experience to everything she shares. Her work blends authenticity, empathy, and just the right amount of humor.
